D3.3: Simulation Assessment of PEBBLE System for the Three Demonstration Buildings

In this document simulation assessment studies for the three demonstration buildings are presented. The concept of co-simulation necessary for the information exchange between the control design algorithms with the thermal simulation models is presented. Since each of the thermal simulation models is developed using a different simulation environment (EnergyPlus for TUC; TRNSYS for FIBP; and, Modelica for RWTH) differences in interfacing are described. Then for each of the three buildings, for representative control scenarios, a simulation-based assessment is presented.
